Samuel & wife, Millie Moore Bell in Berry Co., MO. she later grew up in Newton County, MO where she married Joseph Wood Embree in 1861 Pueblo Shieftain, June 11, 1922 The funeral of Martha A. Embree, nee Bell, tookk place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the United Davis-Vories Chapel. Rev. William B. Kirb y conducted the services, Mrs. S.C. Ainley and Mrs. E.R. Owens accompanied by Mrs. Oral Wilson sang "Come, Ye Disconsolate,", "Face to Face", and "rock of Ages". The pall bearers were Clarence Embree, George Embree, Harold Poor, Earl Culbertson, Boone Davis, and Chas. Hughes. Interment was made in Roselawn Cemetery.
