First burial in the Hutchison Homestead Cemetery was Stanford Hutchison 1839 followed by a few more Hutchisons. Mr. Boaz was buried in the Hutchison Homestead Cemetery 21 years after the first Hutchison's. Over the years because of two other Hutchison Cemeteries in Newton County this cemetery has become known as the Boaz Cemetery.
